  • NATO Medical Support Capstone Concept. Overarching futures document to identify and direct future medical operating concept for all NATO nations. Ratified by the North Atlantic Council, the highest authority within NATO, this work placed a hand rail and guidance for nations to strengthen and improve their own and combined, collaborative medical support in the face of the changing character of war.
  • NATO AJP 4.10 Medical Support to Operations Re-write of key NATO medical doctrine to modernize medical support with novel medical support characteristics for contemporary warfare.
  • NATO Defence Planning cycle with key input for MED capability over NDPP cycle for Nation's contribution to NATO medical capability.
  • Program Director for design and delivery of Common funded capability for NATO including integrated software application – adopted by 16 nations as national solution for requirements. In the absence of suitable modern Information management across Support Services such as logistics, engineering and medical support designed collaboratively the approach to information exchange and delivered a minimum viable product for operational use. Designed for NATO, the impact was far reaching as it was adopted by 16 nations for national use, thus significantly improving interoperability between nations.
  • Delivered international in person and on-line conferences on Medical Support related topics such as AI in Health care, Medical Logistics, Medical Software. Chaired and delivered high level workshop sessions with internationally acclaimed speakers to >1000 on line sites internationally during COVID-19 pandemic. Took the medical community through the establishment of a community of interest in medical innovation and onto a mature ecosystem where new medical techniques and innovation can be shared as best practice.
  • Successful innovation capabilities delivered and used on battlefields includes a novel neuromodulation device improving sleep rest cycles for special operations, a digital triage assistant for mass casualties, real time casualty software application and others.
  • Ab initio design and delivery of the NATO Medical Senior Staff Officer Course delivering high level training to over 120 NATO medical staff members and thereby improving collective understanding and productivity of personnel when working within NATO.
  • Senior Clinical Inspector for NATO Partnership Training and Education Centre (PTEC) of a national Medical Academy for accreditation as a NATO PTEC facility. The impact is to have access to high level training facilities for combat medical technicians, paramedics and allied health practitioners thereby improving medical support to operations.
