Summary

Dedicated law student with a strong drive to qualify as a lawyer through the SQE pathway and pursue a rewarding legal career within a dynamic law firm. Possessing a diverse skill set including proficiency in customer service, teamwork, legal research, client management, and multitasking. The decision to pursue law is rooted in a combination of personal values and academic interests. Growing up with parents from Portugal and Madeira has provided first-hand exposure to navigating legal processes, from assisting with grant applications to obtaining local licenses. This upbringing illuminated law in various aspects of life, such as compliance with regulations like Natasha's Law within supermarkets and trust companies adherence to the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, having read tax advice and legal advice provided to clients from trigger events.

Throughout my degree, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to the pursuit of the LLB (Hons) degree alongside working in office and from the UK independently and collaboratively successfully. The skill’s I have learnt such as time management, drafting documents, email correspondence, deadlines, has honed skills in adaptability, independence, and efficient time management have been able to be translated through my studying as well proving me exposure outside of the classroom and enquiring in areas outside of the Syllabus. Pursuing the SQE pathway will allow me to continue gaining hands-on experience while completing my studies. All of which would allow the seamless integration into a full-time legal role while pursuing the SQE qualification.
